DJ tracy young receives her heristorical Grammy

Though Madonna herself didn't get nominated. Her friend and supporter Tracy young did make history in the best remixed recording. Her remix of Madonna's 48th #1 dance Hit I Rise (Tracy young Pride radio edit with intro) won the Grammy for best remixed recording. The reason why it's very much important and heristorical. No female dj has ever been nominated or won in the remixed recording category. 

 

And in a flashback Friday.  The one love remix of Revolver by Madonna won David Guetta and Afrojack also won the best remixed recording in 2010.

Madonna's last Grammy nominated happened in 2010 with best dance recording for Celebration. But lost to Piker Face by Lady gaga. Unfortunately pop stars are no longer eligible for best dance recording since it's now a dj category only. Justin bieber won his only Grammy as a featured act on his own song he sold to Diplo and Skillrex but as we see he abandoned that sound despite diplo being bigger now than just an underground name.
