I suspect that one judge called Britney a habitual user of ***** because her family saw her partying after the divorce and used Jamie as an example to insinuate that alcoholism runs in Britney's genes. I also believe that she was messing around with Adderall and sleeping medications. That said, I do not for a second think she was an alcoholic or addict of hard *****. I will NEVER believe the crystal **** rumors. When people look at 2007, I absolutely agree that it was an awful time for Britney and she needed major help, but it was not something that required a permanent conservatorship. She made terrible decisions when she let people like Sam Lutfi into her life (the man has been accused of abuse and harassment too many times by too many people for him to be a truly great person), but didn't Lynne actually know him first? I think anyone who had gotten so famous so fast and so young would've eventually had issues being able to identify users. What do you do when nearly everyone around you is a user and/or abuser?

She needed to be taken out of Los Angeles and show business, and put in intense therapy. As she said in For the Record, she wanted everything to "just stop" after the break-up with Justin. I wish she had been given that opportunity. The Vegas wedding happened because Britney was searching for something beyond fame - she had a deep desire to be a wife and a mother since she was a young childhood. That's the culture she grew up in. She wanted to rebel from her public image as a celebrity and the associated pressures for years.

She really has had so much taken away from her. This not the way to help someone learn how to make better decisions after an understandably difficult situation.

 

I think she in reality just needed a quiet vacation to turn out all the noise, then once she calmed down therapy would  have helped tremendously. She was only 25 years old and was trying to live her life. She never went to high school or uni. She just got divorced and was suffering from postpartum depression. The girl needed to feel to heal. Not to be imprisoned.

It was obvious from Miley’s interview a year or two ago that she knew more about Britney’s situation than she was letting on, because she made that public statement about how she hopes Britney is truly happy and doing this because she wants to (paraphrasing). I wish I could recall details about the interview, but it was definitely an unexpected and candid response in relation to what she was asked.

I've seen individuals who are incapacitated and unable to care for themselves walking around the streets. Britney needed major help, but not a permanent conservatorship.

If anything this is causing more problems. Some of these "reporters" especially at E! don't understand the difference between doing what's best and keeping her alive. They should've let her go and allowed the natural process of needing help happen. No one can force and addict into rehab, all doors are open and you can leave at any time.

That’s pretty badass. She obviously actually cares about Britney the person, in stark contrast to nearly all other artists who have simply used her for commercial success. 

(Although to be fair, Iggy did make several statements regarding the insanity and extent of Team-C’s controlling behavior during the “Pretty World era”, but unfortunately when a witness is unlikable, their narrative isn’t taken seriously).

She literally says Free Britney clear as day at 0:10. We're not talking about the "come through, Britney" bit she says first. I really can't debate what is seeming like selective hearing with the last video presented, at this point. :well:
