Good article. I agree with how glory was handled that album had so many huge potential hits :sobbing: they just gave up on that album after 2 singles! Glory was the album we had been waiting for years and it just got flushed down the toilet :kidcries:

As for promo she should totally do the gay club circuit like she did for ITZ can you imagine the f**king hype I mean it looked crazy back for ITZ but now it would really help with promotion because the hype would be there plus there’s a little thing called social media about this time round.

If she premiered Make Me with the original - raunchy - video on the BBMAs, I'm sure it would have had a MUCH bigger impact as the way it eventually got released.

The Make Me video had nudity, ***, ... everything to make headlines whereas the one we got was cheesy AF.

A good video + a proper hype around its release + press could result in a chart topper.

Slumber Party had an AMAZING video but a collab with somebody nobody knows and no promo or hype killed it.

Agreed. To me, the biggest drawback for the entire Glory era was the scrapping of the original video. It’s obvious that costed them a lot of money. I think Make Me could have resonated with audiences really well. It’s exactly what pop music was in 2016 and it’s not like it was Britney’s first mid-tempo single (hi Slave). I think a lot of this fanbase can agree that Britney sounds best in midtempos. Yes, she is the queen of dance music, but she is honestly at her best during a **** strip-down type of song. She just didn’t hit the right mark with how she went about doing make me

i don’t wanna hear anything more about Blackout, though. That’s where I disagree with the author. Britney explores music style HEAVILY in 2015-16 and it was such a breath of fresh air after the heavy auto tuned eras we went through since 2007.

I totally agree. A lot of people here say it’s good it got axed cuz it’s tacky but for me, at least it’s better than being safe. I mean she needed something bold to catch the GP’s atttention and some controversy will get people talking without doing much. Plus wouldn’t she really appeal to her gay fans by having an artsy fartsy gay porno? I can hear lots of “yaaasss”
