Aww poor Britney I hope her dad gets better! Even if he ends up making a full recovery with whatever health problem he has I totally support her decision because maybe this has just been really exhausting for her and she's not feeling it and not in the right place to put on a show. It's better to just cancel and give fans their money back than to do the show, leave paying fans dissapointed, have bad meet and greets, and all the other problems that she has been having at her performances recently that would only be made worse by the stress over her dad.

Why does there need to be a multi-factorial decision? Why isn't her father's health sufficient to be the only reason.

Why is that not enough? This is what I don't understand.

It's almost as if, come hell or high-water, Britney can't make a decision in her own self-interest without there being some ulterior agenda...

You are right, it might have been the only reason, but as I mentioned, in my opinion- it could have been multifactorial. What if her dad asked her to go on with the show and she insisted on cancelling it for now. We don't know...

the saddest part is that if she were to not cancel/postpone the shows and wasn't in a right state of mind, the ones complaining now would say she steals from her fans and how dares she walk up to the stage with that zombie attitude, as if it hasn't happened before  they would be the first ones to encourage her to cancel domination.

This is actually a good thing for her and for us! Now she can do a post POM rehab and in the meantime she won’t need to rush things up with Domination! I mean, she will have time to create a whole new show without POM references. POM won’t be inside her head anymore like it’s now. Look at the good side..

She may have been concerned about her dad's health and on top of that low ticket sales + maybe another issue with the production = scrapped until sometime later.

The "announcement" of the residency was "made" in October. 

Papa Spears was rushed to hospital two months ago, aka, November. 

They probably just thought he would make it alright after the surgery, how could they know the result? Why would they cancel the residency then, mere weeks after it was announced? Then it took 28 days for him to get out of the hospital. 

They must have kept going with all the preparations hoping he would be totally fine by the end of the year. December has passed, and it seems he's not 100% ok, so they decide to stop everything.

I don't know what's so fishy about it, or why is it so hard to believe for many people in here. If her sales was the problem, they would've put other kind of excuse, focused on her and her health and not a relative.

If any, if they're hiding anything I think it must be something related to his health. If he had the rupture of the colon he must have some kind of illness to begin with. He might have recovered form the surgery, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have any other issue, maybe something chronic.

The news went viral already, every single country is reporting it, but they have said it as if Britney is retiring. I'm sure it Will cause a lot of controversy. We'll see what happens when it restarts. I just hope Jamie is not really in bad condition and gets better soon.
