I’ve genuinely never understood the hype around this song. It’s so incredibly dated and I’ve never liked her vocals in it. I remember when the album came out and everyone said they would’ve rather had Mood Ring instead of Private Show on the main album...

I agree. Britney needs to be the one to revive pop, and the best Pop was in the 2000s! I want to see her bring back that awesome Millennial Pop sound. She needs to make music interesting again.

making circus the album and era in general as basic and safe as it was, was a huge mistake. I know it was successful but she could have gone the classic experimental Britney Spears route and do a concept Brit album but no...so basic. Unusual You was the only legit track, and I guess Mannequin and Amnesia was the only acceptable basic track. 

(Yes I know she looked great but even Circus the song could have been trippy but it was safe)

Exactly, it's Britney, I  know her voice. I'm not delusional, I know she barely sings in BJ but this voice is 100% Britney, maybe other adlibs in the album are not her (love me down, private show, mood ring or something) but this is definitely Britney's voice.
