Was the original WB Ball intro during POM 1.0 a throwback to this tour entrance?

I know they’ve incorporated a couple of pieces of her past performances/videos/choreo into POM (e.g., the wooden walls for MATM, some of the original choreo for Slave and MATM), but it’s all so sporadic, it’s difficult to ascertain whats intentional and what’s coincidence.

Nevertheless, they definitely could’ve done way more to make her residency the consummate “Britney Spears Experience,” which would've truly been a retrospective of her career. The costumes should’ve been high-fashion interpretations of her iconic costumes, the stage designs should’ve all incorporated some iconic (for the GP) or insanely memorable (within the fanbase) revised replications of her greatest moments, to truly make it A) a career retrospective as it was intended to be, and B) something very over-the-top and fitting for Vegas (which, ironically, many of her past tours—particularly DWAD but also facets of OHT and TCSBST—were so over-the-top as to be perfect for a Vegas spectacle).

Basically, It’ll never make sense to me that they decided to suddenly tone everything way the **** down, and seemingly lost all creative and artistic vision, for a four-year show within the one city wherein she’s arguably been very well-suited for, in terms of sheer spectacle, since the onset of her career.

It’s frustrating because given a better team, far more time to create, implement and rehearse the show, no distractions a la BJ, and arguably far more commitment and input from Britney herself, they could’ve actually made POM a truly fantastic show. Very few popstars have the discography, videography and overall “shocking controversial moments” throughout their career as Britney has, and so this watered-down nonsense on the POM stage (which seems to become further diluted with each passing show), is perplexing and a huge missed opportunity.
