The scene britney throws the television towards the man swimming down the pool. Terribly ends up dying (not literally). That is the only scene team britney want to scrapped, not the entire vid. As larry said on the recent interview "it didn't work" (sic)

The video had a concept and britney actively participated during the pre-production planning.  The video was more than the length of the actual song. The story board has five to six scenes to be exact. The question in the end was, " What does the audience care about and how does your product  relate to those concerns? " referenced to the swimming pool scene. It was professionally disapproved.

I've been saying this from the beginning. The timecode running in the bottom right hand corner is longer than the length of the song (3:51).
