10 songs ain't bad. I mean we lost 2 songs off the standard, so what? I'm sure all of us can name at least 2+ tracks we skip on her past albums anyways.

well the tracklist isn't up yet. there's a chance there are more explicit songs but iTunes can't mark them if they don't know what the tracks are lol. i mean idk I would find it weird if they're making a clean and explicit version separately just for work *****. crazy if that's really what they have to do at the label.

Hopefully the others just aren't listed as explicit yet. I doubt they'd make an entire version of the album explicit just for one song

If you're as old as you're pretending to be

then you'll remember that the standard format

of a pop song was 2mins 30secs. 

 

The standard of a pop song now is 3mins 30secs. 

 

With three tracks that are 5:04 mins long, that

would equate to just over two extra album tracks.

 

Both of Justin Timberlake's albums 

released this year are my receipts.

 

 

 

I"m talking about 80s and 90s music.  I'm not "that" old yet.  And yeah I remember the 2:30 format is from the 50s and 60s when they had to cram a song on a 45 and that was why they had the format.  Once singles stopped being sold mostly on 45s the time factor wasn't an issue so much as long as the entire record was about 60/65 minutes or less (that's basically what you could fit on cassettes).

Now that I think about it, I don't think I skip anything on In The Zone either, although Brave New Girl is almost cuttin it. Flawless album.  :bffs:

Maybe they will do something with the extra 2 songs that we usually get. Perhaps they don't have that stuff finalized yet. Or perhaps there will be a target or Walmart version with an extra song?

 

I love the color version of the cover as much as the B&W.
