  1. Am I the only one that feels this way? I can't quite put my finger on how Britney's look changed by the time she was actually promoting the movie.
  2. On February 15, 2002, Crossroads was released in the United States by Paramount Pictures. The teen drama film was written by Shonda Rhimes and directed by Tamra Davis; MTV Films was in charge of the production. The film stars Britney Spears as Lucy Wagner, along with Anson Mount, Zoe Saldana, Taryn Manning, Kim Cattrall and Dan Aykroyd. Jamie Lynn Spears also made a special cameo as a young version of Lucy, Britney's character. Despite receiving mostly negative reviews by the critics, the movie was a box office success, grossing over $61M worldwide in three months. Britney Spears created the concept of the movie, which was originally titled "What Friends are For", along with her team, and this was later expanded by Shonda Rhimes. With a budget of $10M, the production of the film started in March 2001, but it only wrapped up until six months later, due to the fact that Britney was recording her third studio album. The movie was first premiered in Cannes on January 19. Britney held a press conference to talk about it. The US premiere took place in Los Angeles on February 11. The performance on the movie got Britney some nominations at the MTV Movie Awards and Teen Choice Awards, but didn't win any. She won Worst Actress and Worst Original Song at the Golden Raspberry Awards though The following months she traveled across the world to attend various premieres at different places. On February she was at the New Orleans premiere On March 08, she was in Cologne, Germany. On March 12, she was in Paris, France. March 18, Stockholm, Sweden. March 19, Amsterdam, Netherlands. March 21, Madrid, Spain. March 25, London, UK. April 18, Sydney, Australia. April 21, Tokyo, Japan.
  3. On February 05, 2002, Britney Spears released I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman, the third single off her Britney album (second single in the US). Max Martin and Rami Yacoub wrote and produced the song, along with additional writing from Dido. The single also served as promotion for her movie Crossroads. The song didn't perform well in the US, only reaching the #2 on the Bubbling Under chart, but it reached Top 10 in many European charts. Recorded on June 20, 2001, we were able to see a little bit from the recording session on MTV's Diary of Britney Spears: Britney said: "The song is called 'Not a Girl' and it's basically talking about, you know, I'm not a girl, but I'm not yet a woman. You're just in that transitional stage in your life where you're just figuring yourself out, and something that I can definitely relate to". Britney also explained the song was talking about growing up, and that it was going more towards her character Lucy, though she could kinda relate to that too. The only tour where Britney performed the song was the Dream Within a Dream Tour, but she performed the song live on many TV shows and awards shows too. 4. I don’t know if anyone else has posted about this before but I came across a new Crossroads movie review by this make-up artist/comedian/You Tuber named Jamie French. It is such an awesome recap of the movie. It’s funny and really honors Britney - even draws some interesting parallels between where she is right now and the character she played. ✌🏽
  5. Ok there is a thing - I am not a fan of "Crossroads" but yesterday I just find the movie to see the budget of it and I saw ratings - 3.5/10. I know that it's not a great movie or smth but it doesn't deserves 3.5.. I think its because of Britney and the haters thing.. So if we all just log in (connect with gmail or fb if you don't have accounts ) and give it 10 from 10 it might help I think.. here is the link: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0275022/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
  6. Britney all grown up single mother with daughter that heads to college , all alone she decides to relive her old crossroad trip with her friends all again and hilarity ensues when she figures out she is out of touch and she had never lost her passion for singing ... your plot and twist below ,,,,,,,,,,,,,
  7. I just got done watching Crossroads for the millionth time, and I still love it just as much as I did the first time I saw it. Maybe I'm a little biased because Britney's in it, but I seriously enjoy every part of it! It's just fun, entertaining, and full of great Brit moments. Anyone else really enjoy Crossroads?
  8. By Alexia Fernandez Justin Long’s first onscreen kiss with one of the biggest pop stars in the world wasn’t as nerve-wracking as it might have appeared. The Giri/Haji actor, 40, opened up about kissing Britney Spears in their 2002 film Crossroads during PeopleTV’s Couch Surfing. “I gotta say she was so sweet and down to earth. It was really disarming,” Long said as he looked back at the film. “At one point our legs were intertwined and she goes, ‘I’m so sorry if my legs… I haven’t shaved in a few days, my legs might be a little prickly.’ And I go, ‘I’m sure they’re fine,’” he continued. Despite his reassurances to Spears, she wasn’t having it. “She goes, ‘No, no, they’re totally not, they’re really prickly.’ And she goes, ‘Feel,’ and she put my hand on her thigh and it was like baby’s ***,” he said, laughing. “It was like silk. I swear, it was the smoothest thing I’d ever felt, it was like a dolphin.” Spears, 37, starred in the film alongside Zoë Saldana, Taryn Manning and Kim Cattrall. The film, written by Shonda Rhimes, centers on three teenage girls as they take a cross-country road trip and find themselves and their friendship in the process. Spears played Lucy Wagner, who planned to lose her virginity to Henry (Long) after their graduation — although it ended more awkwardly than the two had hoped. It became a box office success grossing over $61.1 million worldwide in three months on a budget of $12 million. https://people.com/movies/justin-long-on-first-onscreen-kiss-with-britney-spears/
