It is literally "You Gotta Be" by Des´ree and "Lucky" by Britney together

 

 

Absolutely no creativity. Plus this is no interpolation, she literally sings full chorus of "Lucky" word by word

I don't dig the demo-ish production, but the song is cute enough. To me it feels like she's remembering Britney's song and singing it to herself. Halsey using 'Lucky' to ruminate on her experiences with fame, illness, and motherhood, is quite touching.

Guess it's an emotional song for Halsey, and I'm glad Briney was nice about it too.

The chorus is catchy (obviously) but just mid overall for me...

Underneath the bubblegum pop sound Lucky is actually a really sad song.

“But tell me what happens when it stops.”

Anyway I enjoyed Halsey’s rendition, glad Britney is getting recognition for her work.

Honestly a beautiful song. Love the lucky part, she sang it in her own way but still gave it that vulnerability the original has. Well done
