My assumption is the phone was taken out of Britney's purse or pockets without her knowledge.

They confiscated the materials they needed. 

Then, secretly put it back in her pockets.

I'm ******* pissed with Sam now, he was clearly acting like a security guard in training when he was with Britney and that security company,

+ let's remember right after Britney got free from the rehab, was in a hotel, her sneakers falling down and he catching it.

NOW I LOVE EVERYONE WHO USED TO HATE THIS **** BOY.

He was clearly a team con. And yes, it doesn't matter HE wore a Free Britney t-shirt and such, OF COURSE he wouldn't turn around it would be obvious and he had to do it and play along to keep Britney confidence.
