I saw the news. I wasn't surprised people tune in a lot for sb. And Rihanna is loved and her fans didn't see her performing for years. Still other than platforms, dancers and lights there were not much entertaining for me. Good for her amyway

Rihanna has immense star potential. She's iconic, plenty of  #1 hits that dominated radios and charts. I'm not even a die hard fan but im aware merely her presence on stage will bring in millions.

The same way I think Brit could pull off the same thing if she brought her A-game. Some starts are simply stars forever, regardless if they actively release new music or not. They've left a trace on music and pop culture and that's it

Some people create personalities centred around being hateful or critical of everything to get a rise on the internet.

Rihanna could have tightroped across the field with her head on fire and some would have thought it wasn't daring or entertaining enough.

At the end of the day, it's about performing skills and ability to entertain. All Rihanna has is a full hand of hits and nothing more. She has 0 entertaining skills and no stage presence

I love Rihanna but she’s one of the rare performers who gets rewarded for absolute mediocrity on stage. i can’t think of one memorable/iconic performance from her, SB included.

Definitely, the only memorable ones for me in recent years were Beyonce’s, Gaga’s and JLo and Shakira. Can’t even recall most of the other recent ones.

Exactly. 

Shakira and JLo did the best show period, then Bey, then Gaga. 

Madonna, Katy and Bruno deserve a shout out too.
