Best selling females to represent their decade of Birth

So I googled Miley Cyrus and I found out she's the best selling act born in the 90s.

 

Her first musical release Happened in 2006 at the age of 13 years old. So she had a bigger jump than most of her contemporaries, second one is Ariana grande,  but she benefits more from streams since she didn't debut at the last big part of sales, so that's disqualification cos she's a units type artists. 

 

So, Miley might be the last one to be deemed best selling. 

 

1940s. Cher (1946)

1950s Madonna  (1958)* all time best seller worldwide for a female, in the Guinness book of world records for 335 Million.

1960s Whitney Houston (1963)

1970s Mariah Carey (1970)

1980s Britney spears (1981)

1990 Miley Cyrus (1992)

 

All certs as Hannah Montana is legally straight to Miley as it was always credited Miley cyrus as Hannah Montana.  Legally Disney had to in legal ways, to credit Miley cyrus.

If she was born in the 1960s, would she replace Whitney? Who would be there for the 1970s?
