This is definitely not the type of thread you'd usually see on Exhale, but this is really important, and I wanted to make this thread to inform everyone about it.

In case you didn't already know, the Amazon Rainforest has been burning for about three weeks now, killing many, MANY animals and destroying huge amounts of the rainforest. The fire is so massive it could be observed from space.  Here are some images of the smoke from the fire taken by NASA:

The amount of smoke was so large that it covered Brazilian cities like São Paulo. It was as if daytime had turned into nighttime, that's how bad it was.

A video surfaced on Twitter, in which an indigenous woman talks about how her village was set on fire on purpose.

Amazon rainforest constitutes to more than 20% of the oxygen we breathe and more than 100,000 endangered species of animals. This is heartbreaking that the media did cover this earlier and raise awareness.
