  1. True. Defending someone is a full time job that does not benefit me in any way lmao. I'm in no position to judge others or capable of changing the way they think. I'm just in a really bad mood today sorry. I should log off. Wishing you well ♥️
  2. The interview hasn't been aired yet, but here's what the radio host mentioned: Also, here's a link: https://amp.theguardian.com/music/2020/aug/14/katy-perry-interview-pregnant-album-depression-cancel-culture-pure-pop?__twitter_impression=true
  3. Just how years of schooling still won't save you from misspelling "apologies" then You seriously think Katy apologized about a 3 year old statement that only stans care about to boost her album sales? Especially when an upcoming album is not even the first priority in her life as of now? Everyone knows it's gonna underperform compared to her previous projects. But what actually matters is that she's the happiest she's ever been in her life at the moment. If you don't have anything nice to say, please it's better if you don't say anything.
  4. Imagine if our entire society has this outlook on life, that we should never allow people time and space to grow and change but instead hold grudges for past misgivings and judge their whole personality by it Britney herself as stipulated that she isn't perfect and she make mistakes too, and we as fans were willing to see past her mistakes and watch her mature into the woman she is now. Alas, I cannot change how you perceive a certain celebrity nor is it going to benefit me in any way if I could, but it's not up to me to impugn your morals and principles.
  5. Yes, she should have dedicated the whole hour long interview and atleast 3 notes app apologies to discuss about two sentences she said about Britney as a spur of the moment insensitive joke in a 3 year old interview that barely lasted a minute which only stans on twitter and here hold her accountable for. I mean, it's not like she has anything else going for her to talk about in a radio interview right, like say for example, an album cycle? Y'all are never satisfied smh, just say you hate Katheryn and move on I don't see half this detest and loathe when it's a thread about Shawn Mendes or anyone else when he did something much worse.
  6. Posting this and dipping from this thread because I know things about to get nasty down here Anyway, y'all happy now? She was herself in a very bad place when she made those comments, as less than 2 weeks after the show she did cut her hair and went through a whole makeover, while at the same time dealing with the defeat or Hillary whom she had endorsed big time and her break up with Orlando Bloom at the time. Katy has cited Britney as an inspiration for her California Dreams Tour (2011) and has admitted to being imbued by the Circus Tour. Moreover, she has mentioned that she loved Britney's artistry, additionally substantiated by a video of her bopping out to Piece Of Me back in 2008 for her debut album photoshoot. They also met in 2013 at the Smurfs movie premiere and Katy was a co-writer for Passenger on Britney Jean. At the 2014 VMAs, Katy also credited Britney's fashion as an inspiration, adorning a revamped version of the iconic Denim Outfit Britney and Justin wore to the 2002 AMAs. Now it's Shawn Mendes's turn.
  7. Katy Perry has received heat from Britney Spears fans for years after the Smile singer made light, even poked fun of, Britney's mental health struggles. At the 2017 Grammys, Katy was asked about the importance of taking time off for yourself. “That’s called taking care of your mental health,” she said. “And I haven’t shaved my head yet.” Elsewhere, she said “I’ve done all of them [hair colors] and only thing left to do is shave my head, which I’m really saving for a public breakdown. I’m down for that. I’m almost moments away from that, obviously.” Katy is finally publicly addressing what she said and making things right. Below is an excerpt from a recent radio interview where she discussed how her own mental health deteriorated in the Witness era from all the negative controversies. “Anyone in this intense a spotlight, they understand that the tightrope just gets tighter and smaller, and that with one word, one costume malfunction, it can all blow up,” she says. "Humor had always been a way to deflect. “I have used that as a mechanism for coping and for my own fear, and have said things that have been sloppy or insensitive.” She adds: “But there is definitely not a whole lot of empathy or compassion towards people sometimes growing – or trying to ******* grow – in the spotlight. Because growth also means failing. And I’ve done a lot of falling flat on my face.” Hopefully, this causes a mend between both fanbases. Thoughts, Exhale?
  8. I hardly think she knows she knows she stirred drama when she said it Besides, I wouldn't remember something I told 3 years back to apologise either
  9. Oh don't mind it I'm used to all the Katy slander, kinda expects it now. I know I was setting her up to get dragged when I made this thread although it was a harmless video
  10. I don't understand er pls tell me crazy you're not one of those people who refuse to believe the Myah thing, I hope not and what difference does it being my thread make
  11. I think this just further confirms the fallacy that Britney co wrote all songs on her most personal album
  12. Katy Perry reveals "Passenger," a song that landed on Britney Spears' eighth studio album, Britney Jean, was her favorite song that she wrote but gave to another singer. "Passenger" was initially intended for her 3rd studio album, 2013's Prism. "I loved when Britney did 'Passenger,' which is a song I wrote with Sia and Diplo a long time ago... I liked that song. It's a song about control and letting go... which is a constant message I have to tell myself all the time because I'm a control freak, and in these times I'm just spiraling." She also mentions Kelly Clarkson's "I Do Not Hookup" and a Selena Gomez track. The demo:
  13. I've never been into the GoT franchise so if I was to start, would you recommend the show or the books first?
  14. What's the best book you've ever read? If you can, give a short description on it so that we can maybe increase our book collections I'll go first. The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini It's a story about two boys with very different attitudes to life in Afghanistan who became friends. But they eventually have a fallout because of one life changing incident and that guides the story to 360 pages. It also follows the timeline of the Soviet invasion to the Taliban occupation in Afghanistan and portrays the land in a whole new light. Some moments have you on the edge of your seat gripping your nails. Highly recommended for fans of fictions <3
  15. Literally. They could have picked any other rapper but Juicy J She eats youe heart out, like Jeffrey Dahmer
  16. DISCLAIMER So I was casually listening to a "2010s pop" playlist on Spotify when Dark Horse came on and wow hearing it after a long time brings so many memories. Let's go over the statistics: - Fastest song to be certified Diamond in history (6 months). To put things into perspective, Shake It Off and Dark Horse was released in the same year; SIO was certified Diamond 6 years later in 2020, DH was certified Diamond in October 2014 - Spent a whopping 22 weeks in the top 10. - One of the few songs that spent a whole year, 52 weeks, in the hot 100 chart. - Most streamed female song combined youtube, Spotify etc. - Highest selling female digital single of all time. - First music video by a femal artist to hit 1 Billion views. Currently 2.8B views, soon to be the 2nd song by a female artist to hit 3B. - Went #1 on its 11th week of release and held the position for 4 weeks, WITHOUT the music video. - Katy's 9th #1, Juicy J's 1st. - Brought trap-pop and anti-chorus songs into the mainstream. - Grammy nominated, but with the Scammy's history of snubbing Katy y'all know how it goes down. - VMA for best female video. - An iconic classic of the whole 2010s deacade that sounds fresh to this day. Whether you like Katy or not (and I know you don't), you can't deny the power this song had. I know some of yall will bring up her current state but keep in mind this is an appreciation thread for DH and not the current songs. I don't even expect much replies, except from the last remaining KatyCats on here and some of my friends who supports me in every thread but anyways sound off <3
  17. I don't think it'll hit top 40 either. My prediction is a peak somewhere around 70-80. But I'm anticipated for the album because the 4 songs released are bops in my book. And she's serving visuals so far
