I love how BOMT has become such a classic and him talking about her vocal fry shows even she had a hand in making the song iconic. Even if she was trying to mimic the demo, in the end her voice is unique. I think critics dismiss her vocal talents because they feel she’s more a vocal actress than a trained singer.
