I was ten years old and tried so hard to translate songs to be able to speak english fluently. 

"Born to make you happy" was my all time favourite when it came out so I tried to memorize the lyrics :

Cause livin' in a dream of you and me
Is not the way my life should be
I don't want to cry a tear for you
So forgive me If I do

this last sentence became :

So forgive me-eee Abdul

 

... And I was so proud to know that Britney just broke up with Abdul.

I still mumble during the really fast portions of MATM. I have no idea why I can’t sing along after all this time!

I used to listen to Jessica Simpson (I was a kid, don’t judge me), and she had this GOSPEL song called “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” on her Irresistible album, and the breathy way she moaned through the song had my hyper religious mother outraged, insisting I never listen to this “Jezebel” ever again.

That’s a BIG sin though. Like...you’re breaking nearly all of Godney’s 10* Commandments:

Also don’t get me wrong, I’m not actually that obsessed with DWAD.  But my boyfriend is currently driving and getting a little road-ragey, so I needed a distraction. Haha.

I used to think that the chorus in slave 4 U sometimes said "I'm a slave forever"  

And that the lyrics to piece of me were something like "I'm Mrs extra extra extra skin".
Also thought lucky lyrics were "cry cry cry in her lonely hard thinking".
