They are pronounced the same. Outside of people making fun of Britney, I have never heard anyone emphasize it as brih-tah-ney.

But to the actual topic... I only know of Britney and Brittany... but when it comes to miss spears it's unacceptable that anybody gets the spelling wrong... Britney is a household name like Madonna

I be feeling the same way when people call Nicki Minaj "Nikki". I'm like...ummm, how many times have you seen her name? When has it ever been NIKKI...?! Wtf. It's NICKI. WITH A C. I've seen so many people call Britney "Brittany" or "Brittney". I'm like...It's BRITNEY, ***** LOL. I love it.
