I feel like I might be but I just can't help it.  The chorus and pre chorus are really similar but the verses are so much better on the demo. Am I the only one that feels like this?

No, I totally get what you're saying.  For me, I really enjoy Cathy's chorus of "Toxic". Not to say Britney's isn't magnitizing, but there are like parts of hers I like a lot too.
