It could just be the picture but to me as a hairstylist it looks like a level 3 which a level 1 is black.  It looks almost black!  Anything darker than a level 6 is too dark imo on her.  When she came out she was a 6, like your icon.  That's the most flattering to me.  Just my opinion.  =/
