I wonder the same. She directed Tinashe's video for SuperLove, right? She could've done a cute video for Make Me for 1/3rd of what they lost out to LaChapelle and still had money left over for the vmas, the album booklet, promo performances, her costumes. I just don't think the risk was worth it knowing David's diva behavior and not having directed a video in 10 years.
