  1. It's perhaps the biggest misunderstanding ever. A guy comes and moves to New York, looking for real grocery stores not convenient stores.. While most agreed it's not racist and other stuff. But like he said, he doesn't understand new York city or the bronx and had no idea he was in a food desert.. He's from Michigan and so his new home is pretty foreign. I had a friend visit there and she described it as a very different world, trash in bags in piles, getting picked up daily.. So from a friend who visited from Arizona, I'm not surprised for him it's a culture shock. But like everybody said, help him as he doesn't know his surroundings yet.. And he jokingly said he's the only white boy in the bronx. @Jordan Miller @Slayer @jordeezy @Stefani
  2. In, 2010 Katy Perry and her cartoon characters larger than life persona, Lady gaga catering to the underground club culture, where she boldly and proudly proclaimed nightly on her monster ball that she locked the weirdos (straight laced people) were banned from her show, cos they don't represent the new revolution of being one true self. And of Course Rihanna who was on track to be the artist that could overtake Mariah's Billboard record. But, it all changed in 2013, when gaga released Artpop, and it was given a mixed reception by the critics and audiences alike, Katy and Prism wanted to be taken seriously and Rihanna would begin her first actual hiatus in 2014, she entered her second one in 2017. So, what happened to pop music, The Atlantic explains it basically died, when Dr. Luke and Kesha court battle took the pop Music court, black lives matter, and artists wanting to be political, mostly female, turned people off. Reggaeton and Latin hip hop music is popular, cos it never went political the way the English pop Music did, and the Atlantic thinks it truly can't make a comeback, until a pop star wants to remain neutral, it's okay to be political, but for a genre that was built in escapism, what's the point in embracing a music genre that lost the whole plot and premise it was built around.
  3. Let’s see if the REAL story gets main-paged! This thread was main-paged based on a tweet by Twitter account PopCrave that is several days old and contains a photoshopped tweet as a “resource” This is the order of events with the full story: Before you go off, you don’t have to like or agree with Ben Shapiro to see the timeline laid out appropriately in this video. (Includes all tweets in the exchange) So Cardi, who has huge pull, is publicly slandering and spreading misinformation about two (indirectly 3) people. You guys, her trashy self DUG UP doctored tweets and posted them to share with the world and LOLed about it because she was pissed that someone didn’t think her performance was tasteful when it was being shoved down the throats of anyone who watched the Grammys. come on. I’d like to start a conversation if we can about how much of what we digest is twisted like this. And for people who are both writing threads that become articles like this, (or any for that matter,) you should do your research before taking to the keyboards and spouting off a story you didn’t bother to finish researching. You don’t end a story at the point that is most pleasing to you, you end it at the end. No matter what you think of either of these two women, at least educate yourself before screaming your opinion for neighbors to hear. Times are a-changing but we need to be more transparent and also more understanding of how rapidly our culture is deteriorating and being pushed into this over-***ualized market. Kids are getting procedures done like crazy now. You think it’s because they’re NOT being influenced by pop culture? Kids are dancing like this now. I’m not being a stick in the mud, I’m saying LITERAL 7 year olds are doing the crybaby. You think they’re NOT being influenced by pop culture? My opinion is that THAT performance took it too far for a program broadcast on CBS at 8PM, that is expected to be more family friendly than this. If that was on the VMAs or the BET Awards, you think it would be such a thing? And Candace made it about what she thinks her acts of women empowerment are, which don’t include the performance choreo... or the lyrics of the song. I know none of you can do anything about it, but just look how far we have fallen morally. That’s the root of this. And to circle it back, we can’t accept inaccurate reporting. It’s connected. TLDR: watch the Ben Shapiro video and then see what you think. and I believe this original thread needs to be removed from the main page because many readers get their music news from reading the headlines and the article was written to incorrectly celebrate Cardi B and it makes Candace look bad. It’s just. A lie. edit: thank you Jordan, I see the story is no longer featured.
  4. The disrespect! A politician just skull-dragged Tinashe for being unable to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Let’s stream “save room for us” so Tinashe can chart‼️
  5. Cardi B is so refreshingly candid. She opens up about some of the latest breaking world news. She is MAD about Bernie dropping out. She says she's gotta learn more about Biden, but will do anything to keep Trump out. “As you guys know, Bernie dropped out of the race. He dropped out of the race. And you know he dropped out of the race? I’m guessing he dropped out because, I’m seeing, he probably saw that he didn’t have a good chance at winning,” Cardi yelled at her followers in an Instagram Live video. “The **** that gets me mad about it is that it’s like, I see a lot of young people… On the Internet always lying. You mother ****, you young mother ****, I’m getting sick of y’all. I’m about to start hanging out with my grandma’s friends because they vote!” She added: "if you think that after the Coronavirus it's gone it's finished... we don't even know when this **** is going to leave," adding we're about to enter a recession. “This **** is very **** serious and y’all not taking it mother **** serious. Right now, the state that America is in, we got no time to play around. You really got to think about yourself. We’re about to go into another recession.” She spilt the tea.
