  1. Honestly it is so tired. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community some people think that being gay is a pass for misogyny and dragging people. No, all that it does is give homophobes more reasons to dislike us. I still haven't forgotten when people on this website in 2021 tried to minimize Lady Gaga's activism, >including her ***ual assault experience<! Some of y'all of disgusting and disrespectful. Do better.
  2. Yikes at some "fans" in this thread siding with Abby when she has been so problematic. She has given her own dancers eating disorders and groomed (not ***ually) some of them to basically be her prized possessions.
  3. Honestly, seeing her haters SEETHE over her telling her truth and respecting her bodily autonomy makes me happy. They're pressed and they can't handle it, and it serves them right.
  4. DISCLAIMER: Okay listen . I understand that Trisha has been very problematic in the past (including weird claims in the past about her C-Ship), and I personally do not support her. That being said, I still think this video is a pretty good defense of Britney in light of this recent situation.* ---- *If you're wondering why she didn't address some of Sam's claims, let it be noted that this was posted prior to Sam's more recent statements.
  5. Slay! I also immediately thought of Gimme More too. I wouldn't mind her performing the song like this in a future performance.
  6. Oh really? The only source I heard from is TMZ, and since they are trash I choose to take everything they say with a grain of salt.
  7. If this whole divorce thing is true, then it is important for Britney to realize that blackmail is illegal. She could (and should) sue him over this. (Again, this is assuming the divorce rumors are true.)
  8. No you are absolutely correct, and this is part of why when people do have their media run by others they should never reveal it. I think the problem here is that Britney was in a (mostly) impossible situation. Her conservatorship happening caused everyone to question everything, and because of that mostly everything is being viewed through a lense of not being intimate, which is a shame.
  9. I thought she got surgery (or at least injections) just before Liberation though. Perhaps they wore off?
  10. Speaking as a Music Industry Studies major: Why do people see this as an issue? A celebrity would have SO many things to focus on if they tried to run literally everything in their lives, ESPECIALLY musicians. The fact that she is able to do Instagram videos is actually impressive. There is no issue with her having someone run her social media for her; this is obviously as long as it is not in a malicious way such as with the conservatorship.
  11. mattxiv is a popular progressive political and social commenter who frequently discusses issues effecting people in society. His recent post reveals how inaccurate and disrespectful comments about Britney Spears and specifically her body were in 2007. However, one of the more notable parts of the post is people coming forward about how this affected them personally. Many people are saying how they did not make it out of the 2000's without an eating disorder as a result of mean comments like the ones made against Britney. The reveals just how dangerous this element of pop culture was back then, and this doesn't even include the countless other harmful characteristics of that time. ---- I think this really highlights how disgusting comments hurt everyone. I wanted to post this to put emphasis on the importance of kindness in all situations. Also it's important to remember that people like Joel McHale STILL haven't apologized for their rude comments against Britney, even after #WereSorryBritney trended in early 2021.
  12. I noticed this too. Her extensions ever since the dance video around the time of the book announcement are giving 2001 Britney era vibes. I really like the way they look.
