Cade Hudson's Neglect of Britney's Legacy Needs to Be Addressed

Recommended Posts

Honestly, it's getting frustrating watching Cade drop the ball repeatedly when it comes to Britney's career and legacy. I’m not even bringing their friendship and personal life into this, but looking at his role as her manager and what he should be doing to uphold her legacy. 22 days ago, he sent an email hyping up new merch, yet here we are, and… no follow-up, no merch, nothing but silence. How is it okay for him to put out these announcements without actually delivering? This isn’t about expecting Britney to get back into the industry, I've always said she deserves her peace and time away if she wants it. But there are ways to keep her incredible career alive without her direct involvement.

If Cade is getting paid to manage her career, he should at the very least protect her legacy and nurture the kingdom she built.  Instead of promising merch and going silent, he could release limited-edition merch collections that celebrate each era of her career. He could create a well-designed, accessible archive of her past music videos, interviews, and live performances on a dedicated website for fans to visit and relive her journey. He could arrange anniversary editions of her biggest albums, featuring unreleased tracks, remixes, or even handwritten notes from Britney, curated from past archives... He could come up with a special collector's set which would be a collection of her most memorable performances from tours, award shows, and specials would make an incredible gift for fans and a valuable addition to her legacy. He can work with reputable brands and designers to release a collection that feels authentic and respectful to her legacy, rather than random, low-quality merch drops that feel like cash grabs or random skateboards, though they were cool and pretty to look at, it's not her demographic.

These are just some ideas, and any halfway-decent manager could execute these initiatives to celebrate her career, even while she’s taking time away.

That email is not new merch announcement lol it's telling you it's been a while since you last bought something on her store. So you have new merch waiting for you :katyclown_makeup_mess_pie_meme_smile:

There's no new merch coming until Oops 25 anniversay next year so just hang in there :bwink_britney_pepsi_wink_black_and_white_bw_flirt:

In terms of music re-release, that on RCA's side and they seem hesitant on whether it'd be profitable or not. Keep in mind releasing never-previously-before tracks or tracks that are limited to certain regions cost a lot of money. Last year RCA re-released 'Crossroads' soundtrack and it did not sell that well honestly. Perhaps they don't see the business there unless it's new fresh material from Britney

It's not only him.

Britney team always had in mind easy money and that's it.

Music will not bring any real money these days...

It's not much about the legacy... but ways to milk her career with nostalgia. And they can't even create good cash grabs... Who cares about a skate line with Britney face on it? They probably think we are like Avril Lavigne fans lol.

I would like something like a rarities album, with many unreleased tracks... but I don't think her team and RCA believe this will bring money.

She doesn't care. We've been complaining about the same things for over a decade now, we all thought it was her team during the conservatorship but now that it's over Britney could have hired new people to take care of her brand (she doesn't even need to be involved) but she chose to keep the same people that were rulling things for her. It was obviously her decision to keep things that way, because she grabs about changing her security team when she got control, that's what matters to her, not her career. And Larry Rudolph would still be her manager if he himself didn't resigned in 2019. It's clear to me, Britney didn't said any bad things about him in her book, Cade is her manager because she had no other option but to choose her closest friend.
