For sure!  Now it's just a numbers game for her. Who would have thought that playing the poor innocent girl trope who had her masters "stolen" would be a genius way to re-release all of her old albums while still getting money from BOTH sets of releases and basically doubling her sales in the end lmao.

33 years? Seems kind of random and like someone chose that number just to make sure Britney was #1 and that Shania made the list. The chart would look very different if you extended it to 40 years. If you made it 30 then it would exclude Shania altogether and if you make it 35, then it would include Mariah and Whitney.

The REAL accomplishment is Shania being #2 with just 3 albums in the pre-digital era.

I'm Taylors defence, if she didn't do that, she wouldn't be able to compete. Times have changed. Taylor would be nothing without social media. The others did it properly. The old fashioned way when they had to properly promote. Do the hard yards of travelling and do interviews etc. Now u just need followers on social media. This is what Taylor always wanted anyone. To cement herself with the great. In 20 years, nobody will remember that Taylor released 83 versions of one album. They'll just remember the name and the title.

Lol, if Taylor were big when CDs were still s thing, I'm sure she sold more than Britney. Same as for Beyonce and others. Yes Britney has sold a lot and that's great. And she was an amazing performer. But there are many others who are more popular now and y'all have to accept that.

Plus, Britney gave up her life for those sales. I don't think that's something to celebrate
