SECOND READING OF THE WOMAN IN ME: WE SHOULD BE MORE KIND!

HELLO EVERYONE. BEEN A MEMBER SINCE 2004 BUT I RARELY INTERACT WITH COMMENTS ETC.

I MUST APOLOGIZE FOR MY NON PERFECT ENGLISH SINCE I'M ITALIAN.

JUST WANTED TO SHARE MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK.

OF COURSE I BOUGHT THE ITALIAN VERSION AND THE ENGLISH ONE.

I READ IT IN LIKE 2 DAYS BUT A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO I WANTED TO READ IT IN ENGLISH TO CATCH THE REAL MEANING OR DETAILS THAT SOMETIMES COULB BE MISSED IN THE TRANSLATION PROCESS. AND I WAS SO RIGHT ABOUT IT.

NOW AFTER FINISHING MY ITALIAN VERSION OF COURSE I THOUGHT THAT WAS WRITTEN BEAUTIFULLY AND WAS REALLY A FLUID READ.

MOST OF THE SCOOPS WERE REVEALD IN THE WEEKS AHEAD OF ITS RELEASE DATE THROUGH PRESS AND SOME STORIES WERE SHARED BY BRITNEY ON IG AND THOUGH HER 2021  COURT TESTIMONY, BUT EITHER WAY I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY THE ENTIRE STORY.

YESTERDAY I FINISHED MY ENGLISH VERSION OF THE BOOK AND HAD A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT IT: I WAS INSPIRED,HAPPY, SAD, ANGRY AND FELT PARTIALLY GUILTY. I WAS HAPPY BECAUSE SHE WAS FINALLY ABLE TO TELL HER OWN STORY. SAD AND ANGRY BECAUSE THESE HANDLERS AND LEECHES BASICALLY TOOK FROM HER THE JOY OF LIVING! INSPIRED BECAUSE I'M AMAZED AT HOW THIS WOMAN EVEN DURING HER LOWEST TIME , WAS ABLE TO FIND SOMETHING TO FIGHT FOR IN BASICALLY TRYING TO SURVIVE TO A **** CULT!

I ALSO FELT GUILTY BECAUSE , WE, AS FANS, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO STARTED STANNING SINCE THE VERY BEGINNING, WOULD LOVE TO SEE HER COMING BACK! TO SEE AGAIN THAT CAREFREE, SWEET, CLEVER, FUNNY AND FEARLESS PERFORMER. SHE DOESN'T EXXAGERATE WHEN SHE SAID SHE TOUGHT HER OWN TEAM AND FAMILY TRIED TO KILL HER! I REALLY BELIEVE HER WHEN SHE SAID THAT NO MATTER HOW MUCH SHE GAVE TO THEM INCONDITIONALLY (MONEY, SUPPORT, HOMES, PRIVILEGES, LOVE, RESPECT) SHE WAS PORTRAYED ALWAYS AS THE BAD GUY! THE CRAZY ONE! THE TOOK FOR GRANTED CASH COW!

IT DISGUSTED ME READING ALL THE **** SHE WENT THOUGH EVEN WITH THOSE CLOSEST TO HER WHO SHOULD HAVE HAD HER BEST INTEREST AT HEART! BEING DISAPPOINTED AND THROWN AWAY BY YOUR FAMILY IT'S NOT SOMETHING THAT IT'S EASY TO PASS ON!.

I MEAN...SHE EVEN DID HER OWN COUNTING FOR TAXES DEDUCTION AND THAT **** **** OF A FATHER DARED TO SAY SHE HAD DEMENTIA!

AND WE FANS TOO TOOK HER FOR GRANTED SOMETIMES. EVEN WHEN WE "DEMAND" TO SEE THE OLD BRITNEY COMING BACK!!!

AND IT'S NOT FAIR AT ALL. OF COURSE WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE HER THRIVE PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. 

READING THE BOOK IN MOTHER TOUNGUE MADE ME REALISE A DEEPER SENSE OF IT: YOU COULD TELL IT WAS SOMETHING THAT SHE WROTE, FELT, IT IS HER! IT'S ALSO A SIMILAR LANGUAGE REGISTER SHE USES ON IG. IT'S RAW AND REAL! AND I DIDN'T REALLY CATCH THAT SENSE OF RAWNESS IN THE TRANSLATED VERSION!

WE SHOULD BE MORE EMPATHIC TOWARDS HER. NO MATTER HOW OFF WE FEEL ABOUT HER POSTS OR HER RANTS!

THIS IS NOT A REGULAR WOMAN. 

A REGULAR PERSON MAY HAVE NOT SURVIVE ALL OF THIS.

ALSO THE PARENTAL ALIENATION SHE'S EXPERINCING MUST BE SOMETHING THAT CRUSHES HER CONSIDERING SHE LIVES FOR HER CHILDREN!

SHE IS A TERRIFIC BRAVE AND STRONG WOMAN!

AND I LOVE HER EVEN MORE WITH THE FLAWS SHE'S FINALLY ALLOWED TO SHOW!

SHE AIEN'T A J.LO OR BEYONCE.

SHE'S A REAL PERSON. 

FED UP WITH THE FAKE HOLLYWOOD INDUSTRY! SHE EVEN SAID THAT!

ANYWAY JUST WANTED TO SHARE MY THOUGHTS NOW GONNA STOP MY RANT.

ANYONE WHO CAN RELATE TO THAT?

It's wonderful that you brought up her memoir again. I also reread it and I even took notes.

Re reading it gave me another , more full-in depth prospective of her story and how she experienced it and how she’s trying to navigate through it now!

we should be more respectful and supportive. Even if that means no longer being in the public eye. What I wish for her is to show the world again her gifts but in her own term. And just remembering how great she’s in it!

She said how much joy singing and dancing and the audience gave her.

I loved her memoir, it touched me so much.

Its probably the most moving and saddest celebrity memoir I ever read.

 

It also explains why she's the way she is now and honestly if anyone went through what she did,

who knows if they'd even be around still.

She is a true inspiration.

I'm re-reading it too at the moment.

I bought the kindle version (digital) this time, cause I just had the actual book and the boo I read it so fast some things may pass it thru, now I'm reading it again to remind me the pain.

She offers us so much perspective in the book, and if we just listened to her we should be able to understand how deep her trauma is that she is now dealing with and just how long lasting it will impact her, it’s extremely difficult and 13 years to be controlled and have no autonomy for oneself (let alone be forced into mental facilities and be put on very dangerous and altering dr**s without consent) must be such long term trauma to unpack and heal from. None of us truly understand yet everyone so freely judges her choices and her well being as if she freely did this to herself.
