Britney is mass bleeding subs- but why?

Did something happen we aren't aware of? What's causing this? It's sad. She had her own record and now she is losing +2 million subs a day.

Hold Me Closer is quickly becoming old news and will likely leave the BB Hot 100 either this week or next, so it's not surprising that her Spotify stats reflect this too.

I don't know what it is, but even for me Britney did not make my Spotify top 5 artists for the first time since 2018.

I still love her music, but find myself listening to it less and less. I'm not really sure why. I feel a sense of sadness when I listen to her music. Glory was nice but it aged like milk and I've already listened to previous albums to death.

There is no drama. I just want to understand why she keeps losing millions of subs. Why? Because of 2 songs? My Only Wish is still in her top 10, just like HMC.

Yes literally because of those two songs. Her average is usually in the mid 20 million on Spotify when it’s not Xmas and when new songs haven’t been released in ages

Maybe I'm wrong but YouTube is the most popular video site meanwhile music can be streamed through different services and people can come and go.

Well it’s no surprise. Thankfully HMC was a worldwide smash but there’s only so many times they can rehash a new remix of HMC and toxic

The last few years her listeners and even followers etc increased a lot due to FreeBritney and all the coverage she got. Since then she has not really done anything to maintain her status, if anything she done some stuff that could jeoparize that a bit (e.g. xtina fatshaming).

She's losing listeners because Christmas is over and all of the extra people who don't normally play her music, or hear her other songs passively while listening to a Spotify playlist, are gone.

Her usual amount is low to mid 20 million. She usually hits high 30's during Christmastime and this year hit over 40 million for her first time. I think it was 43 or 44 million people.

This is natural and happens to other artists who have Christmas songs. Their listeners skyrocket and then fall to their usual amount.

She is losing listeners because it's been a month from Christmas and My Only Wish (This Year)'s resurgence. After 30 days your monthly listeners starts dropping compared to what it was one month ago. This happens EVERY year and it's absolutely normal.

Because she gained a lot of new listeners in the second half of last year with HMC and then My Only Wish around Christmas, so this isn't that surprising. It's just levelling out a bit more again.

It’s totally normal . It after every year in January after my only wish dies in the charts. She gained A LOT more this year compared to last year ( also thanks to HMC) so at the end she won
