I can see this happening tbh. Remixes, duets, greatest hits... small things that require basically no effort and allows her to "continue" her career without the pressure of releasing full albums and schedule tours.

Didn’t she post that video of her singing BOMT last week?? She could have felt a surge of creativity. Britney has always been super intentional, it would make sense given the timeline.

No, she didn't. She recorded the vocals for Tom's Diner in 2014.

That’s cool and all but I was hoping for a proper well thought out comeback era staring with a solo first single, but I guess beggars can’t be choosers.

 

Sir Elton John’s collab with Dua is amazing so I’m hoping this is in the same vein.

Why tho? Why would she record those vocals, have the label send them to Giorgio and then refuse to record the bridge he said he wanted? I think the vocals were old scrapped vocals and the label send them to Giorgio as he is a legend. Just my opinion tho.

The bridge was written later, it wasn't part of the song originally. I don't know why ultimately she didn't record it, if it was because of timing or whatever, but she definitely recorded the song in 2014.
