Unless it's breaking huge records, the lack of physical sales comes as a defensive measure to avoid criticism because only certain acts can sell physical albums.

the comparison is not fair, Arian broke record earlier with thank u next with only 12 songs now red did it with 30 songs coming on an average of 3m per stream for her. 

Not defending kanye, but I think people here are underestimating the guy by miles, Kanye not just music can sell anything celebs now trying to make their own Yeeze.

So true. The guy can quit music like Rihanna and just rely on the Yeezy brand which makes 10000% more money than album sales.

People here I feel have less touch on reality, Yeezy has become a brand, whenever they stock these shoes here they sell within 15 minutes and let's be real hip hop is much bigger than pop in every part of the world Donda broke records without trying and no physical releases, Kanye is a weird man in every way but he's much more of a star than a musician people kill to become a brand like him whatever he makes it sells.
