How Many Millions of $$ have (allegedly) been stolen from Britney? Let's compile evidence!

Recommended Posts

Let's dig deep to get the evidence and court docs available to start showing the world how much $$$ have been taken from Britney - INSTEAD of people wasting time and energy simply hating on Team Con and sending death threats, let's do something productive and tell the world how many millions of $$$ have (allegedly) been taken from Britney because there are a FEW HUGE POINTS that REALLY piss me off about Team Con's claims:

Can we find court docs/public reports and add up and tally these things?  Maybe we can get more attention because WHY HAVE MORE PEOPLE NOT TALKED ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY HAS DISAPPEARED From Britney's net worth?  As if the $60 mill she has now is a lot (which ofcourse to most people is a lot, but it is nowhere NEAR what she SHOULD HAVE!!!)  Remember - we can allege things and hypothesize but be careful about outright claims.

  • They claim Britney had less than $3million when conservatorship began and Jamie is so great that now her worth is "up to" $60 mill.  However, it was widely reported that Britney had amassed TENS of millions of dollars that were in trusts for Jayden and Sean at the time, plus the value of her home(s) assets, etc.  Where did that money go and how much was in those trusts?
  • There were court docs explaining that Team Con around 2018 moved to have some trusts changed so they could have control over them - do those docs mention $$ amounts and was that these trusts?  I think one was SJB trust.
  • Can anyone find how much she is estimated to earn from perfume deals?
  • Basic math and accounting tells us Britney should have accumulated WAYY more than $60 million right now, even if she did only have less than 3 mill when cship started.  Let's do some basic math:

X Factor pay for 1 year was $15 mil.

Initially Brit earned $310,000 PER SHOW in Vegas and performed 248 shows total.  However, she was given a raise up to $475,000 show toward the last year or two (can anyone find the exact number of shows she was paid each amount?)

If you figure, just estimating, that half the shows were at $310K and half were at $475K, that would amount to $97,340,000 total / 4 years = $24,335,000 PER YEAR ON AVG. for Vegas alone.

PLUS EACH YEAR there is millions more income in  perfume deals and merchandising, licensing and royalties, merch from tours, not to mention there was Femme Fatale Tour, Circus Tour, Piece of Me Tour (after Vegas), Candie's deal, lingerie deal, etc.  I believe many years back, the Cship reported that in a year where Brit basically didn't work, like 2007 or something she made $7mill just from royalties/licensing etc. alone.

In other words, if we can get an estimate per year, based on these quick facts alone, her income should have been ON AVERAGE from 2009-2019 MORE than $30 mill/year over those 10 years.  This equals OVER $300 mill earned EASY as an extremely LOW/CONSERVATIVE estimate.  So if you account for high tax rates, reasonable manager/agent fees, attorney fees etc. then Britney should have at least $100 mill after all that, PLUS the value of properties, trusts etc. that were around when CSHIP started.  Also, I believe I remember court docs from around Femme Fatale era that said the Cship trust was up to 40 something mill. If true, how has it only gone up 20 mill since then??!!

Let's get to work and productively show the world how the evidence is already out there that something extremely wrong and criminal has (allegedly) been happening and how the facts are right in front of us!

This article doesn't mention her earnings as much as her Dad's: "Spears added that she felt she had no choice but to do the “Piece of Me” concert residency in Las Vegas from 2013 to 2017. According to the New York Times, Spears’s father took 1.5% of the residency’s gross ticket and merchandise sales, from which he made at least $2.1 million. Two years before that, he took a 2.95% commission from his daughter’s “Femme Fatale” tour, making an estimated $500,000. "  This is in addition to his regular salary of $16,000/mo

Yeah, regardless of whether she was robbed of 20 million or 600, her 60m fortune is WAY too low to be accurate.

I hate that team con has the media talking about how her fortune went from like 3m to 60 during the conservatorship…it’s like WAKE UP!! That’s an increase, yes, I mean she was forced to work so duh there would be an increase, but all the finances just scream shady when you look deeper than the surface.

There isn't even a big increase.

She was worth around $50 million in 2007.

13 years later, $60 million

I didn’t know this 😮 Also I’m just speaking on the numbers I’m hearing in the media. I keep hearing 3 and 60m specifically. I understand where the 60m figure comes from, but where did they get the 3m figure from?

The $3 million comes from Jamie or one of his lawyer I think

Britney Spears’ net worth is $63 million. The Britney Spears net worth total comes from info in 2014 court documents plus two years of earnings for the star.

In 2014, Spears revealed that her estate had a value of $46 million. That disclosure came about in court documents when her net worth was placed in conservatorship, basically to protect her from herself. Doing the math on all Spears’ earnings from 1998 through 2016 tells a very different story however. All else being equal, Spears should have a 2016 net worth of $267 million. That may make it seem like Spears lost $205 million, but because of tax calculations, she actually lost a much higher $290 million.

The Britney Spears net worth total comes from $324 million in concert earnings, $44 million from albums, $6 million from singles, $19 million from YouTube and $140 million from merchandise like her 19 different fragrances. There’s also $132 million in endorsement money. If that seems like a lot more than we stated above, it is. Including acting and Vegas money, Spears has earned a grand total of $670 million in her lifetime. Taxes and regular expenses chop out $337 million. Extravagant losses take away a staggering $290 million.

The Britney Spears net worth figure should be $267 million. Losses chop that number down to a still healthy $63 million estate, held in conservatorship by Spears’ father. Currently, Spears’ net worth is 1/3rd as big as ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake’s $175 million. It’s 1/5th as big as Beyonce’s fortune of $335 million and 1/12th as big as Madonna’s $800 million. The Britney Spears net worth pile is 1/4th as big as Rihanna’s $281 million and 30% bigger than Selena Gomez’s net worth of $45 million. Stacked up against Bill Gates, Britney Spears has just 1/1,212 the money. That’s because Gates is worth $80 billion. Finally, Spears isn’t doing too badly when compared to the typical American family’s net worth of just $68,000.

The blue-green line shows how the diva’s net worth should have grown. Why the big difference? The blue-green line shows what would have happened if Spears had saved and invested her earnings from all sources year-over-year. We know however that her real net worth in 2014 was just a fraction of this number. The red line shows a potential path that led to where Spears’ fortune sits today. It can’t really be called a tragic story because she’s still worth $63 million. That’s the $46 million she revealed in 2014 plus two years of earnings.

Britney Spears Net Worth Sources

Earnings of $670 million built the Britney Spears net worth sum of $46 million. Taxes took $237 million, regular expenses took $100 million and losses of $290 million took the rest. But where did those massive earnings come from to begin with? Concerts, merchandise and endorsement money were the biggest factors in building Spears’ net worth, to the tune of $595 million. The other $75 million came from album sales, singles sales, YouTube ad revenue and acting. Since 2013, Spears has been a Vegas fixture, earning about a million a year from that work, plus millions in royalties from her massive body of past work.

How Britney Spears Lost $290 Million

If Spears earned almost $700 million by the age of 34, where did it all go? Why is she left today with “only” $63 million? Nobody actually knows. Some online sources claim the Britney Spears net worth number is actually a lot higher than her 2014 court documents let on. Those sources say not all of Spears’ money is in conservatorship, and that she has over $100 million in “other assets.” This is doubtful. If a court places an estate in conservatorship, the idea is to protect the estate’s assets from their owner, who is deemed mentally incompetent to handle them. If someone is deemed mentally incompetent to serve their own needs, a judge isn’t likely to let the person handle 75% of his or her estate. That’s not the point of a conservatorship. It’s more likely that the judge placed Spears’ entire estate in a conservatorship and that any “other assets” are negligible.

One way Britney Spears might have lost $290 million is by overspending. It’s hard to spend down $290 million in 10 years, but not impossible. Spears doesn’t have any major business deals to point to, aside from her perfume line, but that’s financially successful enough to keep running even now. In other words, it’s unlikely she’s losing millions on her perfume business, yet keeping it afloat for 13 years. She may have spent the money on the business of Britney Spears, overspending on concert production. She has been quoted as saying it’s easy to spend $20 million on a stage if you’re not careful, then you wake up and wonder where your money went. We’ve already figured in costs at 30% of her earnings from concerts, so it’s hard to imagine Spears spent more than that. Even spending the money on lavish cars and houses wouldn’t do the deed, since those assets can be sold again, often for a profit.

So where did the $290 million go? Possibly Spears had a massive entourage and showered them with gifts like cars and houses. If so, it hasn’t been reported. The truth is that the Britney Spears net worth figure is $204 million lower than it should be and we may never know why.

Britney Spears Net Worth: $44 Million from Albums

As the table below shows, album sales chip in $44 million to the Britney Spears net worth tank. Her debut album, Baby One More Time, went RIAA Diamond plus 4x RIAA Platinum. That’s 14 million copies in the U.S. alone. It sold another estimated 4 million copies worldwide. At $10.99 per album, that means it raked in $198 million in total revenue. Spears only got to keep approximately 8.85% of that money, because the rest went toward production, distribution, marketing and agent fees, according to industry reports. Even so, that means the record added $17.5 million to the Britney Spears net worth total. 2000’s Oops! I Did It Again repeated the performance by going RIAA Diamond and selling an estimated 13 million copies worldwide. That album put $12.6 million in Spears’ pockets. A similar analysis of her other seven albums shows them making significantly less money with each new release. Britney Jean in 2013 is uncertified and only sold an estimated 150,000 copies.

How Britney Spears Made $324 Million from Concerts

Britney Spears made $324 million from concerts. Solid data on her most recent tours shows that her Oops! I Did it Again tour in 2000 brought in $40 million at the worldwide box office. Spears likely kept around 85% of that money after production costs were taken care of. Other expenses probably took another 15%, which we figured into our calculations at the bottom of this article. Her biggest tour was The Circus Starring Britney Spears in 2009. That tour’s stage resembled a three ring circus. Every North American stop on the tour sold out, with the tour breaking attendance records in several cities. It took in nearly $132 million at the worldwide box office. That said, it was only the fifth highest grossing tour that year. Either way, concerts make up the biggest slice of the Britney Spears net worth by far.

YouTube, Endorsements and Merchandise

Spears has earned $19 million so far from YouTube ad revenue. Industry analysts place a star’s YouTube earnings at about $7.60 per 1,000 views. Spears’ Vevo channel has a total of 2.9 billion views and her own personal channel has 69 million.

Other income sources for the star include endorsements and merchandise. Spears famously signed a $10 million contract with Pepsi in 2001. She also had deals with Skechers, Polaroid, Toyota and the “Got Milk” ad campaign. Her estimated endorsement deal money comes to $6.5 million per year. That puts her earning slightly less from endorsements than contemporary artists like Miley Cyrus and Beyonce, successor to the Pepsi throne.

Merchandise also has a place in the Britney Spears net worth arsenal. Not only did the star sell t-shirts and other merchandise at her concerts, but she also released 19 different fragrances from 2004 through 2016, including Curious, Fantasy, Believe, Island Fantasy and the most recent Maui Fantasy. All in all, her merchandise earnings are figured at $7.75 million per year for a total of nearly $140 million.

Britney Spears Singles Sales

Britney Spears released 32 singles in the years from 2001 through 2015. These sold about 43 million copies. That means Spears sold nearly as many singles as she sold albums. That said, singles don’t contribute as much as albums to the Britney Spears net worth number. That’s because a single costs about a tenth of what an album does. Figuring Spears’ 8.85% cut of revenue from her singles sales gives her a total of $6.3 million from the sales of singles.

One of Spears’ most memorable singles is the song Oops! I Did it Again. during the filming of the song’s video, a camera fell on her, which left the diva needing stitches. The video’s producer was asked how much input Spears had in the production. He answered that she only had a few requirements. She wanted to be in a red jumpsuit, she wanted to be on Mars, and she wanted a really cute spaceman.

They keep saying she had only something like $2.8 mill at the beginning of CShip.  I believe they are talking about how much cash on hand she had,  but they neglect to mention she had these other trusts and assets when they are making these claims to the media!!  Therefore, if those assets aren't a part of the cship, they can easily control/steal (allegedly) that money and basically erase it from her net worth.

So the deal is technically, from my limited understanding in her own name, she may have only had something like 2.8 mill when the cship started.  So Team Con uses this figure to claim they have helped Britney financially.  But ACTUALLY she had MANY assets in trusts with her kids names on them, so in other words, the cship couldn't get to that money.  But it was still Britney's.  HOWEVER in 2018 they apparently tried to change even those trusts to (allegedly) steal that money too! That is some of the evidence I am trying to find, any court docs relating to team Con trying to change those trusts.

Hold **** 😮 That makes so much sense. Thanks for explaining that to me!

I never knew this. I always thought the 2-3m figure was sus, but I didn’t expect it to be this sus. I just assumed it was an exaggeration, ya know?

So damn shady! I hope she sues them for every penny!!
