On January 24, 2004 the NRJ Music Awards took place in Cannes, France. Britney Spears was there to perform Toxic.

 

 

She also presented Madonna an special award of honor.

Imo one of her best performances ever! So confident, so easy for her, she was enjoying every moment, it all looked like a natural environment for Britney. Amazing amazing amazing

It's so strange to think that this was just a few weeks after the "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" incident.

The performance is great but that Onyx stage prop looks so cheap.  I remember fans thinking we were going to see it on tour.

I can’t believe this was the only award show performance Toxic had.. We can only imagine what it would have been like had she done it at the VMAs!
