On October 9, 1990, Mexican singer Thalía released her first album, called Thalía too (it would be the first of three homonym albums :orangu_orangutan_ape: ). After being part of the most successful pop band in Mexico at the time, Timbiriche, from 1987 to 1989, she decided to leave the band and move the United States to study at the UCLA. She learned English, besides taking dance, singing and acting classes. She returned to Mexico to record her first LP produced Alfredo Díaz Ordaz whom she would later become romantically involved.

The album sold over 200K copies in Mexico, and she's released 15 other albums ever since, as well as several compilations, live albums and EP's.

4 singles were released to promote the album: Un Pacto Entre los Dos, Saliva, Amarillo Azul and Pienso en Ti.

Sadly, her first three records are very hard to find on digital platforms due to problems with the record label.

She also had an acting career from the late 80s until 2000, and she was known as the Queen of Telenovelas in Mexico.

Her music style has changed a lot over the years, and she continues very active to this day. Just yesterday she released her latest single, a collaboration with Colombian artist Farina.
