Popular Post Joman82 Posted July 21, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 21, 2020 Britney had the tradition of releasing at least one cover song in her first three studio albums, and then the first single of her Greatest Hits compilation album. She has always liked giving her own spin to songs of artists that she admires. Like for example: Cher, Madonna, Joan Jett and Suzanne Vega. Here is the list of Britney’s cover songs from another artists (studio versions). 1) “The Beat Goes On”, (originally by Sonny & Cher), 1999. 2) “I’ll Never Stop Loving You”, (originally by J’Son), 1999. 3) “I Can’t Get No (Satisfaction)", (originally by The Rolling Stones), 2000. 4) “You Got It All”, (originally by The Jets), 2000. 5) “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll”, (originally by The Arrows; cover based on Joan Jett version), 2001. 6) “We Will Rock You", with Beyoncé and Pink (Pepsi Ad), (originally by Queen), 2004. 7) “My Prerogative”, (originally by Bobby Brown), 2004. 8) “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long”, (originally by Otis Redding), 2006/2007 [unreleased]. 9) “Everybody”, [sample of "Sweet Dream (Are Made of This)", originally by Eurythmics], 2007. 10) “Out from Under”, (originally by Joanna Pacitti), 2008. 11) “Burning Up”, (originally by Madonna), 2011 [unreleased]. 12) “Tom’s Diner” with Giorgio Moroder, (originally by Suzanne Vega), 2015. Itachi Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 never been a fan of her covers, i mean i like them but i prefer her original songs. I'll Never Stop Loving You, Out From Under are my favorites, and You Oughta Know from the live performances. i believe she did a lot of Janet Jackson and Madonna covers in her first tour 3 1

Isla Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 You forgot these covers she did on the BOMT tour: Material Girl (originally by Madonna) Black Cat (originally by Janet Jackson) Nasty (originally by Janet Jackson) Open Arms (originally by Journey) As for unreleased stuff, she also recorded a cover of Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing for her demo tape to Jive (and also sang the song at her audition), the song Today from the tape was also originally an unreleased Toni Braxton song (not sure if that counts as a cover though?). She also covered the Disney song It's a Small World (which is used for the attraction at Disneyland/Disney World) for the first Disneymania compilation but it was removed from the tracklisting. 1 2
