Danja says Janet Jackson is his inspiration when making music for female artists

He says Janet Jackson's music, namely Control and Rhythm Nation, is the biggest influence when he makes music for other female artists.

"I don't know how I got these tapes as a kid but I remember listening to them so much so it's in my blood. I've been tryna duplicate the essence of Janet forever."

He perfectly described Britney Spears' Blackout without naming it.

"Just listen to anything I've done with any female artist. You will hear my choices in bright chord progressions over high energy and aggressive beats."

Danja for B10 :letitburn:

No. DJ is pure R&B/Urban.

Blackout is POP with Urban meets Dance pop

Why did you think i made that comparison based on the sound? I was looking at the themes and not the sound cause that's too literal. I'm not basic. :imacat:

Now wonder Britney loves him!

i always thought he was the real talent behind all of Timbaland’s tracks.

Yes, I also remember that Danja was the ghost producer of the "track" Diddy did with Britney "The Answer".

Basically talk a good game came out in 2013, yeah that should tell you.

His sound is no longer relevant,  where Timbaland was able to evolve with the hip hop, Just listen to 8th Grade By Mariah Carey from her unappreciated album Caution to understand what I mean..

Danja gonna have to incoprate Trap beats to stay modern..

Caution, oh my god. I think that album was hella good and still is. Currently listening to it.  The album underperformed because it’s Mariah Carey. Sadly.

I think Danja is good and has a chemistry when with Britney, but nothing last forever. We’re in 2020 and I don’t see a notable work from Danja.

I want Britney to dive deeper for new and modern sounds BUT similar or in the direction of the dark Blackout. I like Finneas as a new producer, he’s young and dedicated. Britney definitely must search for a connection with the trap/rap community - Metro Boomin is super fresh and creative.
I want a Britney x Travis Scott song called Bold. Just imagine the meltdowns.

"Hard Candy" is such an underrated album. It's definitely more Pharrell & Timbaland than Danja, but still. :nyschool:

Ppl really sleep on Hard Candy. Its a great album. Candy Shop, 4 Minutes, Heartbeat, Miles Away, Beat Goes On, Dance Tonight and Voices are great songs. To me that album is a solid 7/10.

It's one of those albums that's not a good album per se in the context of the specific artist (not a good Madonna album because she has set too high of a standard with the rest of her discography) but still a great pop album in general. It has a few mediocre songs, but the good songs are so good that they really lift the whole album up. :clicktina:

I disagree I feel like certain producers bring out the best of her. Can you imagine if she only work with max on just the first album, we would have never got oops or IUSA. Max, bloodshy&avant, and Danja would always get me excited

OK Max is out of the question because he's a genius period. The rest, of course it's cool she's still working with them here and there, but on one or two songs, not to collaborate on the vibe of a whole album.
