WB & Run The World

both songs have a similar path 

on the charts, WB did better than Run The World WW & in the US and has sold more (Beyoncé's singles didn't do well at all in the 2010s, she focused on her albums & her stadium tours building another sort of image)

however, both songs weren't big hits when they came out and somehow, they became a signature song for both 

'who run the world? girls'

'you better work b' 

 

there's a sort of parallel between the two, but honestly can somebody explain why run the world didn't blow in the US? after her 2009 era, her powerpoint performance & her pregnancy it should've been higher? for WB I don't think that I'd need any explanation  well, Beyoncé started to confirm her performer status mixing dance, lip-sync & live-singing with high production, and now she's filling stadiums, she actually 'fought' after that era to be more relevant and here where she is today

so, can we talk of 'sleeper hits' here?  or is WB more forgettable?
