Everyone is freaking out of HDD predicting "Glory" will only sell 20-23k this week... How about you look at the charts...

FGL 

Week 1 - 148K

Week 2 - 40-44K

Barbara 

Week 1 - 151K

Week 2 - 20-29k

Britney Spears 

Week 1 - 116k

Week 2 - 20-23k

 

Album sales are not what they used to be.  Every other artist had a huge drop off as well...,

Also it should be noted that "Glory" is expected to fall from #3 to #9 (-6) with 2 new albums released.. Britney Jean fell out of the top 30 week 2 of its release... 

ALSO Britney still is promoting the project with Ellen and Iheart radio and Apple Music and we haven't even begun to think about a second single yet. 

 

ALSO, album sales are always slow in September... Album sales pick up during the holiday shopping period of November/December so with continued promotion there is no reason to believe that there is still a run to be made.

 

ALSO for comparison sake Britney Jean dropped in December 2013 to celebrate her birthday.. (When sales should be higher) and so far "Glory" is selling slightly better overall (3 years later after continued deterioration of the album market) AND in a slower overall sales season. 

 

RELAX 

In other good news "Make Me" has stayed extremely steady on the iTunes chart at #13 after it was artificially boosted to #2 with the album release and the VMA performance. There was no way that was going to last.
