From Genius: Running Up That Hill is a cover of Kate Bush’s song “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” covered exclusively for Amazon Music by Kim Petras. In a now-deleted tweet, Kim revealed she had recorded this cover 3 months prior to its release and that its one of her favorite songs. The release of the song came at the peak of its newly found popularity through the Sci-fi television series Stranger Things. The song was put onto the rest of streaming platforms on 2nd September, 2022, three months after it’s initial release on Amazon Music. I think it's great! Too bad ALL Kim Petras songs are festered with a ridiculous amount of AutoTune. -
He's getting dragged, whether joking or not, Taika Waitia has opened a conversation on gatekeeping Music.. Some agree saying the whole "I was there, you didn't experience it, so leave the club" One person said it was cool seeing the girls get some lyrics right, but i know evety word cos i was there, that's my era of pop Music. As to drag gen z for not being cool. One said we could be better than this gatekeeping thing, cos we want the legacy of these artists to continue, but doing this is a way to hurt it, and piss them off. Congrats, to Kate Bush, for topping the oçc charts. But if it wasn't for a controversial decision by the occ, this wouldn't have happened. The track is considered old by the chart's practices and standards, which if it wasn't for the special treatment (being called out by all Fans of veteran Acts ). Cos you see. Each track has a 7,000 points, Kate normally gets hers cuts in half as it is an older track, controversially, Kate would normally donate 4K of her streaming points to Harry styles, as he is a newer track that's more popular, buy a last minute decision nixed it but just for Kate Bush, lambs have had it hard for their queen to top the UK charts with her Christmas Track,cos of these rules, but most are saying if Kate Bush gets these rules lifted for her. It should be for all tracks older than 2022 or any current year. @Slayer @Jordan Miller @Isla @AndyFoster
