'Piece Of Me' is so repetitive, isn't it?

Recommended Posts

Especially the verses:

I'm Miss American Dream since I was seventeen
Don't matter if I step on the scene
Or sneak away to the Philippines
They still gon' put pictures of my derriere in the magazine
You want a piece of me?
You want a piece of me

It's a cutting edge pop song with great production. It's no more repetitive than any other pop song.

I personally get annoyed when my parents tell me that pop songs are repetitive. They listened to the Beatles and it was the same thing LOL.

Pop songs are designed to be catchy and it makes you want to listen to it again.

but, I think that’s the point with piece of me, a bubble gum pop song about a princess of pop, going trough pop fame messy life.

not my fav, but I love how good portrays pop

Yeah, I mean, there's a bridge that doesn't have verses with just a different beat (no verses) and then it ends and starts the repetition again I'm mrs. lifestyles of the rich and famous.

I guess I am weird lol

But, do you think it's bad?

There are some threads I just have the idea while in the shower and so on, haha

The randomness might come from situations like those.

its called rhyming ;)

it has regular pop song structure, just that first verse is used as bridge. Of course it would sound better if there was regular bridge and progression to final chorus.

But there are much more repetitive songs out there
