Everyone complaining about a cash grab while also crying that the people who stole her money got away with it. If she sold the rights to the book she could have easily pocketed 100 million and who’s to say what back-end residuals she lined up. Everyone else has made money off her/her story why shouldn’t she??

Correct, Universal Pictures is owned by NBCUniversal which is owned by Comcast.

Still interesting that they didn't go with the obvious - Sony Pictures. I'm wondering if there was a bidding war for the rights.

This! Crying that this is a csh grab but in the same breath hoping she's gonna go back on a stage when she's not mentally there? make it make sense.

The timing is really suspicious, it's obvious the announcement was used to distract from the Paul drama, but i'm sure this deal was made way before this situation.

They do have some hits as well as one really big flop - Cats. It's been a while since they produced anything without other companies, looking at their portfolio from past movies and upcoming ones. Might all be budget related.

Growing up and checking this form out of bordem on my lunch break shows how needy we are! lol 

 

this is epic. Britney has been grinding since she was 8 years old! Like let mama chill and do creative things she never had a chance to. Reading her book she said she wanted to do more movies? Like even if she sold the rights and just making a check Britney is an iconic artist that even if it watered down it’s going to educate a whole new younger generation on who she is! Like let’s think big picture as fans!

Most reliable outlets are reporting it's a biopic. Deadline have and they're usually accurate.

What does it means they will have rights to her catalogue? Will she still own it? Seems like 8 figures dont cover it cuz she can sell it for 9 figures easily.
