If she has a contract to make X amount of albums, she can not release music with other labels until she has finished the contract with the current label.

That´s what happened to Kesha, and look, she is still recording with the same record label. Don't think she is happy to do so, but she has no choice if she wants to make music.

I want to be proved wrong, but so far this is sounding like a certified flop. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Dr. Luke's giving her scraps and leftovers production-wise; she's way past her prime.

But if she makes an agreement with another label that they will help her pay off the old contract so that she can be elsewhere, then why not? She needs creative freedom. She can't wear the teenage dream coat forever.

If you own that music label willing to pay off from her multi million dollar contract to get KP, a singer not on her primer anymore, please do contact her, and help her. I am not saying its fair, i'm just saying it's the law.

I honestly don’t blame her for returning to work with him again, I’d do the same thing if I were in her shoes too, her last 2 non-Dr. Luke albums bombed so it makes perfect sense she would go back to what worked for her, maybe she realized she’s (next to) nothing without his help, no shame

The whole Kesha/DrLuke business doesn't sit so black and white with me, he's never been criminally charged with anything right? I might be biased as I had a close friend be wrongly accused of SH by a girl in a work situation, she didn't know he was gay and when it came out she looked a fool but he'd already lost his job and was called a pervert around town for months. I'm not so quick to blindly believe allegations like this now, it's weaponized far too often and lets not pretend that there wasn't something to gain from this accusation (she wanted out of a binding contact), though I think they should always be taken 1000% seriously and always investigated, but until someone's convicted of a crime with concrete proof I couldn't care less what they do or who they associate with. 

The irrational, over-reactionary nature of the chronically online has them foaming at the mouth to cancel anyone and everyone at the drop of a hat. Go outside
