I’ve said this before but Mariah and Britney have two of the most gorgeous head voices I’ve ever heard for a female artist. If only Jive and her team put vocals to the forefront, I can’t imagine the amount of respect and credibility she would have acclaimed. Instead the media and general public ran with the idea that “sHe CaNt SiNG1!1!1” which is so unfortunate because it was really her stunning vocal ability that got her signed. Even Britney convinced herself that she doesn’t have a great voice due to media manipulation and those around her who likely persuaded her that she can’t sing which likely affected her self-esteem and confidence as an artist. It’s actually really unfortunate when you think about it. Even her ‘singing’ voice was hindered.
