Why did Hold Me Closer chart and Gaga's Elton assisted song did not?

This.

Sine from above is a wonderful song and my personal highlight from Chromatica. They should've recorded a music video, though I remember rumours that there was one on its way but Gaga forgot about Chromatica, just like Artpop. :yasqueen_yes_wow_crying_praise_tears_wipe_sad:

Did she really "forget" about it, though? She has so much on her plate now that she's also a working actress AND the founder of her own renewed make up company... There's only so much a person can do (LET'S NOT MENTION JLO, SHE'S AN EXCEPTION, I don't know how she does it, I'm starting to think she's using a Time Turner)

Not every song Elton does with an artist will chart, the song has to actually be good, plus they have to promote it.

Gaga has attempted multiple time to collab with Elton, and the songs always suck!

I had no idea about the first two. I assume the second song was unreleased but the first one was on a film soundtrack?

I don't think she's forgotten about Chromatica considering she's on tour for the album right now, there's only 3 songs on the album she doesn't perform. Unfortunately Sine From Above is one of them which really sucks.

Because gaga isn’t 1% of what Britney is in the music industry.

Lol, no, the only artist that has come close to her level of iconic-ness in the music it's Lady Gaga, having iconic songs, performances, outfits, moments, being an inspiration to others and blah blah

The song was included in the movie, but then they chose to remove it from the soundtrack release because it was bad!

I hateee when albums have SO much more potential but get left in the dust. I mean, at least she’s touring now. But that album had more singles left for sure. I miss the days of albums with like 5 singles and videos for each one.

Dumb thread tbh.

SFA wasn’t even a Single.

Hold me closer - ls Britney dipping her toes back into music after a long hiatus followed by world wide exposure because of the #FreeBritney movement. That + Elton John just had a world wide hit with Dua Lipa.

Again people find the need to pit these woman and fandoms against each other - grow up, I have.

the two are incomparable.
