Christina hasnt done proper promo since 2010, hasnt put any effort into her live performances since 2010 and just doesnt care about her new music anymore.  Her last album was delayed and when she released it she just dumped it with an IG post. No marketing at all. 

Britney has been in the news non stop and people want her to do well and are curious (kind of like Circus era) . + Elton had a successful movie with his music not long ago. 

Because of Britneys situation everyone knows that she just released music wheras nobody knows when Christina does. A lot of young kids have been exposed with BRitneys music though TikTok and reaction videos on Youtube but most young kids dont really know Christina.

Exactly. It's fair to point out that Christina did not beat the odds in terms of long-term mainstream success. Having hits 24 years into your career, like Britney, is the exception, not the rule. On the other hand, I don't believe people should drag Xtina mercilessly (OP didn't, just saying), as she is, after all, still playing concerts around the world and still getting a lot of streams.  

Personally, I think Christina's mainstream appeal after 'Stripped' was on thin ice. 'Back To Basics' was a hit, but IMO, it was creatively a risk. The public could have decided they didn't care about her throwback to music from many decades ago. 'Bionic' I think just wasn't good enough, and people were blown away by Gaga's exceptional first era. Doesn't help that Christina's personality has never been accessible. Britney has a sweet, Southern 'girl next door' personality.

Britney is just more of a prominent pop figure, and honestly if this was an RCA I really don’t think it would enjoy the same success. There’s also public interest around britney now.

Ms. Aguilera served some bops with her Spanish album for sure. They didn’t chart well, but they still are bops. Britney will forever have that charisma and xfactor to continue pulling mainstream success. And Aguilera still has that voice where she can tour and sell out theatres and earn her coin as the legend she is. We can compare success if you want, but at the end of the day, these two queens will be just fine ❤️
