Kim Petras announced during her Outside Lands set that her scrapped album doesn't matter because she has a new album coming. 

The first two singles will be coming VERY soon!

Now she has more scrapped albums than actual releases:

- the Beach album

- Problématique

- Candy 

I’m happy that she already has something new in the pipeline. And good to see that she still seems happy after all that mess.

She's good and her music is good. 

It's sad that singles like the future start know and coconuts ended up just being singles without an album. I really don't understand her EP sl** POP, when she has those gems before.

Malibu was intended to be the lead single for her Beach Album. Then the pandemic hit. Meanwhile she got signed to Republic and began working on her debut album.

Candy is apparently a re-recording of some old demos from her Mama’s basement era. 😅 Here are two of the old demos:

The only forgivable reason for a scrapped album is a scrapped producer.

At least we know Ian Kirkpatrick is on board for the next album.

I think that’s why it’s scrapped…also she doesn’t even directly work with him even though he’s credited…it was bc she wrote all the songs with Aaron Joseph who is like his “ghost writer” so L*ke gets credit…Kim and Aaron are now estranged and he has worked on none of her new recordings so I think he will not be on it

She did, and not because of GP or her fans but the label who literally will NOT let her have control over her music and releases to the point of just mindlessly scrapping her albums and forcing her back into the studio. It's crazy, I'm surprised she still has the energy for this b/s tbh.

So they scrapped after Malibu was a hit

Then they scrapped because Coconuts was a hit

I’m starting to wonder if her label are sabotaging her for reasons other than her artistry, and perhaps because of her gender identity.

They’ll happily release sl** Pop and Turn Off The Light which, honestly, mostly cater towards Queer audiences. But anything catered toward the general public gets scrapped. Why?
