Uh, the locals there must know Evermore has no relation to Taylor Swift. I don't really care if they win the lawsuit or not: I just think it's amusing that Taylor's being sued given that she loves suing anything that breathes.

Well when you legally trademarked your name and made yourself a brand. 

 

You have every right to sue, as it's illegal to use a federal trademark property without permission of the owner.

No way someone at Taylor’s level of fame didn’t have someone search about trademarks for her album title before putting it out.

Now i'm scared. If an actual word, like "evermore", from the freaking dictionary can cost you like millions to use for product titles etc .

This should give authors anxiety and writers block for sure. Wtf .

Anyways I hope they will come to a settlement outside of the court because cases like this are a waste of legal resources IMO

You can't copyright 1 word. Onmy if it's a made-up word such as "Microsoft".

Since Evermore is an official word, their legal actions are worth nothing.

Also, the company is in major deb and can't even pay the employees. Probably hoped to get some money out of Taylor to revive the park.
