If 1992's Erotica showed the dark side of Love and sexuality. Then 1994's Bedtime Stories could be seen as a sequel showing the lighter and romantic side of Love and sexuality.

Initially work began with Shep Pettibone, But Madonna realized she needed to evolve.

But what Made Madonna worked was she rarely worked with Mainstream producers, she always chose the lesser Known or as she she called them the weirdos that nobody knows about.

Outside like a virgin from 1984 which was Produced by Nile Rodgers (not including the UK Reissue which saw them add into the groove to their version, since the 2001 remaster into the groove was removed).

So it was surprising that Madonna opted to work with the best of R&B elite at that time

Dallas Austin (TLC main hitmaker), BabyFace (he can be seen as the Max Martin of 90s R&B, you knew with his name Attached radio was going to embrace it), Nelle Hooper (Bjork) and Dave "Jam " Hall (Mariah Carey).

The 11 songs was well, great. Unlike Hard Candy, it didn't Sound like the producers, But an authentic Madonna R&B album done right.

Secret was a major departure in her catalog it was this Acoustic guitar over a hip hop beat. The "Secret" touched on her lover, and that she knows he/She has a secret, that secret was he was transgendered.

But it was take a bow that pushed the album to outsell 92's Erotica In the US. It was one of the biggest hits of 1995.

Her longest number one single in the US, for 7 weeks Madonna's take a bow had the US in a spell, however it underperformed internationally...

The third single was where MADONNA decided to let the world know that she did nothing wrong, she didn't know she couldn't talk about, her, you, or Se.., what she talked about was Human Nature, and that she's not your bish, so you shouldn't give her your crap for addressing Human Nature. Huge hit worldwide, but outside the clubs, It flopped in the US, despite Fans pleas to stop performing this song, it's her most performed song from this album, however the album remains her most overlooked on her tours outside Human Nature.

FYI Warner wanted Don't stop, but Madonna got her way with Human Nature and that became the single. When you release music via your own label, the dustributor always loses.

Fourth single was Bedtime Story, while another huge hit internationally, it flopped in the US, except the dance charts.

Bedtime Story can be seen as a preview of what was to come with Ray of Light, but much darker.

When madonna fans drag other acts, one reciept they always bring up, is the video for Bedtime Story, is in the museum of modern art in new York City, and is the only video to be in permanent display there.

This is the only Album where MADONNA went only #1 in one country, Australia.

Though if it wasn't for the Girlie show, being performed in Australia and still fresh in the Australian minds, many wonder if it would have followed suit and not go #1 at all.

In a Madonna book, it was well noted that Bedtime Stories was released at a time where nobody cared if madonna released an album. She went through some bad publicity with a now viewed Iconic appearance on David letterman, where she said the F word a Record breaking 32 times,a record still held to this day.
