Alanis Morissette, created a stir earlier this year when she announced she was unschooling her kids, and letting them learn whatever they wanted to. 

 

Meaning of they get bored and uninspired on math, science and such. They should explore other subjects til they find the one that interests their mind and heart. 

 

It got a mixed reception to say the least. Both see the pros, but also feels how does this teach social skills and such or what common interests their peers have. 

 

My friends says this was really the best thing they did. A six year old is at a reading level of a fifth grader by self teaching himself to read on his favorite subject animals. At home he gives lesson's to his family on the research he did for the day. 

 

Parents by witnessing it, saying unschooling their kids and letting them learn on the subjects they want to. Is truly the 2020 way of schooling.
