Is Pop music basically the lyricative version of Pornography

In a way it is. I mean if we go back to the roots , the way Marlyn monroe was discovered and turned into a ****** icon but singing softly and about love but the lyrics have undertones of ****** scenarios . The whole Blonde theme was basically carried out , and just about every pop star that followed her either immulated Marilyn or has actual features that resemble her ( like Britney) .

And after that the ****** liberation agenda really was driven out through pop music , and the idea of " good girl gone bad" and how a popstar starts really innocent but then just gets turned into a *** machine with a whole image change ....this entire scenario is pornographic in its own right. A libererian or a conservative woman but then has a very hyper-****** side to her which is the main theme for ****.

Even in the male culture , i mean they used to say that women were more "objectified" and just seen as ****** beings and objects as i myself 100% believed so and still believe it is partly true , however from james dean to Elvis and so on ....it has been the same thing ...the emphasiazation on the middriff ...chest, lips or even a very very tight pants ( elvis, ricky martin , enrique ) etc etc. And now more than ever is really rare to see any music video without an idea of **** in there and it has become quite the norm.

So yeah i mean this is all at the top of my head and i can clearly write a book about it all. But just to give you a slight more in depth idea.

Well, "pop music" is a very broad and general term. In and of itself, it says nothing about the lyrical content. Yes, sure, a lot of Britney songs (especially those from In The Zone / Blackout) talk about ***. That doesn't mean pop music is the musical version of ****, though.

First things first, when you say "****" / "pornography", there is only one meaning, only one thing you think about when hearing / seeing it: videos of people having ***. Depicting *** is pretty much ****'s only job. Pop music, meanwhile, has three main topics: relationships / love, break-ups / heartbreak and, yes, ***. But this pretty much disproves your theory: pop music is not the musical / lyrical version of ****, because it deals with more subjects than ***. Also, those three I listed before aren't even the only topics. Pop music deals with so much more, like self-acceptance, *****, alcohol, rebelling against something / someone, dancing, partying, fame, family issues, societal issues, and so much more! Some ideas are complex and hard to boil down to just one short phrase (such as Robyn's "Dancing On My Own" and "Call Your Girlfriend", you'd have to write a short paragraph to describe what they're about). Pop music can be as lyrically-diverse as any other genre out there.

I think that simply boiling things down to "pop music is basically musical ****" is pretty ignorant. Pop is very much diverse and top 40 hits do not represent the genre as a whole. :mhm:

So much of what pop music as a culture stems by a very ****** mechanism and it is difficult to ignore. I had the same thought about acting in general the other day , if actors weren't employed anymore they can simply turn to ****. Just pay closer attention to some messages in movies. And no it isn't a "dirty minded perspective" .....it's just what it is intentionally.

I think what the OP is trying to convey here is the fact that with pop music, so much pornographic ideaologies are actually put forward to the public and are being made more.....commercial. if we discect a song by Britney, Ariana , Madonna , katy or just about every pop girl.....the amount of intentional ****** reference and what is seen as ****** deviance/fetish is imminent. And the music video culture just took it to the next level.  This isn't necessarily a "negative" thing. Not at all , but only looking at things in theory basis. The work of directors for example, always heads for that direction.

Side note: Rap is also infused with similar generative tool, and it is the main genre or the commercial genre nowadays.

It’s like song writers watch **** a lot of the times and think how can I write a song about this scene , then the female singer sings it seductively and performs with several men gyrating her .

I get the “you’re watching **** right now do you understand, if you don’t get that you’re an old and gay man”

and ofcourse not all pop music but the songs like 3, I wanna go, gimme more, make me ooooh etc etc etc
