WILL LADY GAGA DETHRONE “OLD TOWN ROAD?”

If anyone can do it… it’s her.

There’s a rumor circulating the web right now claiming Lady Gaga has plans to release a new single on Friday. According to a fan on Gaga Daily, they had a chat with someone from Sirius XM who claims she’s releasing on Friday (they provided receipts). The fan claims they originally asked the rep from Sirius whether or not Gaga’s recent, invite-only concert at the Apollo, which celebrated the satellite-radio merger of SiriusXM and Pandora, would be available to stream, and was told while it won’t be, expect a new single.

Naturally, this news traveled fast. Most are speculating that it’s simply untrue and that the Sirius rep is wrong. Others are wondering if it’s a big misunderstanding – perhaps the audio from her Apollo concert will be made available to stream come Friday.

It’s unlikely a new single from Gaga will arrive any time soon. There’s buzz she’s waiting to release in the fourth quarter. 

The “Always Remember Us This Way” singer has been hard at work on her sixth studio album for a minute. It could feature collaborations from Mark Ronson, Diplo, RedOne, DJ White Shadow and more.
