i never liked her expressions on Onyx (except that MATM one), I always found them too forced compared to these ones

I think shes over it because she knows it caused her downfall. She made fun of it in the Circus tour by chewing gum, not caring about choreo, but now she wants the attention that she received before so now she slowly going back to the way she was when she was dancing.

I think that when they teach you how to dance, those facial expressions are called   "invisible choreography", it's one of the tools that dancers use.
  I agree with you, Britney is not only less expressive while dancing but is less expressive when interviewed, and that was one of the things that made Britney special
